Winner of the Grand Prix du Jury at Hyères 2013 /28th Festival International de Mode & Photographie.
“Can we bring nature into clothing? Is it possible to design a collection, taking into account the surrounding landscape? “
Maaranen is a Finnish styliste from Aalto University, whose women collection is entitled “Garments in Landscape”. She was inspired by nature and haute couture with innovative textiles.
In an interview for Showstudio she affirmed she is not opening her own atelier, but wishes to join a big fashion house.

I am very interested in those wooden creepers/ patent leather brogues with wooden platforms. However they are called, they caught my eye.
I wonder which big fashion house she would like to join…
